SuperLED Privacy Policy

In short: SuperLED needs no account, shows no ads and does not track you. Your lights, scenes and settings stay on your PC. SuperLED does not collect, sell or share personal data.

What SuperLED stores, and where

Your lights, rooms, groups, scenes, favourites, colours and settings are saved in a file in your Windows user folder on your PC. A small log of Bluetooth connection events is kept next to it to help with connection problems. Nothing of this is sent to us.

Bluetooth and your network

SuperLED talks to your lights directly: over Bluetooth, and over your local network for lights that support it (for example WLED, or Govee lights with LAN control). It only sends lighting commands to the lights you add. It does not send this information anywhere else.

Live screen

When you turn on Live screen, SuperLED reads small, low-resolution frames of your main display to choose colours for your lights. Frames are processed in memory and are never saved, recorded or sent anywhere.

Music

When you turn on Music with "This PC" as the source, SuperLED listens to the sound your PC is playing to make your lights move with it. The sound is analysed in memory and is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. SuperLED does not use your microphone; lights with their own microphones listen by themselves.

Game scenes

To switch on game scenes and show game covers, SuperLED looks at which supported games are installed or running on your PC (for example in your Steam library folder). This stays on your PC.

Optional Microsoft sign-in and sync

If you choose to sign in with your Microsoft account, SuperLED uses Microsoft's own sign-in page (SuperLED never sees your password) to save your scenes, effects, favourites, colours and shortcuts to a private SuperLED folder in your own OneDrive, so they're the same on your other PCs. Your lights and their connections are not synced. You can sign out at any time in Settings; you can delete the SuperLED folder from your OneDrive whenever you like.

Purchases

SuperLED Pro is sold through the Microsoft Store. Payments are handled entirely by Microsoft; SuperLED only asks Windows whether Pro is owned on your account.

Analytics, advertising and third parties

SuperLED has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and does not share data with third parties. The Microsoft Store may provide the developer with anonymous, aggregated statistics such as install counts and crash reports, under Microsoft's own privacy terms.

Children

SuperLED does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
